Dr. Mieczyslaw “Mitch” M. Kokar

Dr. Kokar is the President of VIStology and Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Northeastern University, Boston. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering and an M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, both from the Wroclaw University of Technology, Poland. Dr. Kokar’s expertise includes information fusion, cognitive radios, self-controlling software, intelligent and hybrid control systems, formal logic/mathematics-based modeling, specifications, architectures and algorithms of autonomous intelligent agents, ontologies and the semantic web technologies. He is a co-author of two books and over two hundred papers and scientific reports. He was the program committee co-chair for the CogSIMA conference for five years, program committee member of numerous conferences, including the International Conference on Information Fusion and general chair of the International Symposium on Intelligent Control. Dr. Kokar is a senior member of IEEE and senior member of the Association for Computing Machinery.


Dr. Jakub J. Moskal

Jakub Moskal is a Chief Technology Officer at VIStology. He has over fifteen years of experience in applied research related to ontology- and rule-based computing, including knowledge engineering, ontology matching, semantic integration, rule-based reasoning, semantic web services, knowledge-based methods in Cognitive Radio and Cognitive Electronic Warfare. He has authored or co-authored several publications primarily regarding the Cognitive Radio and rule-based reasoning. He has been a reviewer and a member of the Technical Program Committee at the Software Defined Radio Forum since 2010. He completed his Ph.D. at Northeastern University’s Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in 2011.
